I forget this world is temporary;
I forget that they're not mine;
I forget that You've been watching
All the passing time.
I forget that justice must exist;
I forget the promise You made;
I forget that all of this
Is simply a facade.
I forget that peace is possible;
I forget the lessons You taught
I forget that all I have
Is a mercy of a sort.
I forget that I am human;
And can get carried away
And forget that my body
Is dying everyday.
So I trust in You
Just like You trust in me;
And this time I won't forget
The truth that I must see.
I forget that they're not mine;
I forget that You've been watching
All the passing time.
I forget that justice must exist;
I forget the promise You made;
I forget that all of this
Is simply a facade.
I forget that peace is possible;
I forget the lessons You taught
I forget that all I have
Is a mercy of a sort.
I forget that I am human;
And can get carried away
And forget that my body
Is dying everyday.
So I trust in You
Just like You trust in me;
And this time I won't forget
The truth that I must see.
